GET TO THE BOTTOM OF
ANY FOOT AND ANKLE PROBLEMS & FIND OUT HOW TO FIX THEM AT PODIATRY & CHIROPODY CLINIC!

THE COMMON “MY FEET HURT” COMPLAINT IS LIKELY MORE THAN JUST AGE, GROWING PAINS, OR TOO NARROW SHOES

DO YOU HAVE OSTEOARTHRITIS OF THE FOOT OR ANKLE? DO YOU HAVE A FEAR OF FALLING? - WE CAN HELP.

Our mission at Podiatry and Chiropody Clinic is to find the right solution to your foot and ankle problems to improve your quality of life. If you are experiencing foot problems, the sooner you intervene the better.

Foot problems are more common than you think and they’re often linked to ankle, knee, hip and back pain. For example 50-80% of people have a low arch profile or “flat fleet.”

In these cases the ankles roll inwards putting undue pressure on the medial side of the foot, ankle and knee. This leads to increased wear and tear and pain. It can also off - set your natural gait and lead to Bunions, Hammer toe and joint pain. These presentations can also lead to further problems.

THAT’S JUST ONE EXAMPLE!

There are incredibly dynamic solutions available if you know where to look! That’s where we come in... We’ve had 2 podiatry clinics in St Leonards and Rye and have been consistently prescribing orthotics for over 10 years.

Martin and Angie Parry at Podiatry & Chiropody Clinic are highly motivated to free you from pain and discomfort and enable you to lead an active, healthy lifestyle by supporting you every step of the way.

As much as foot problems are common, they’re also unique in that they come from our own individual design.

As a result, they often go undetected from childhood and lead to further complications later on in life. Contrary to popular belief, feet don’t fix themselves! However, they can be fixed, and the problems associated with them are preventable, with the right intervention.

You, or someone you love, don’t have to live with the pain, discomfort, and inconvenience of foot pain.

You don’t need a GP or any kind of referral to see a podiatrist.

WE SET OURSELVES APART WITH A DETAILED PROCESS THAT GOES FAR BEYOND FEET

We believe feet are the foundations to the wellbeing of the body. We take into consideration our patient’s lifestyle, work, leisure, level of physical activity and injury and consider how these link to any foot, ankle or lower limb problems they may have. We start by assessing:

MEDICAL HISTORY

We’ll take an in-depth look at medical history, medication and any surgery our patient’s have experienced. We will consider any allergies and review prior tests like X-Rays and MRI.

DERMATOLOGICAL HEALTH

We’ll check for any dermatological problems that could be adding to or creating the problems. We also check for any signs of cancer.

NEUROLOGICAL HEALTH

We perform a neurological test to check sensation and test reflexes. This can help to spot signs of diabetes, and upper or lower motor neuron conditions.

We carry out a comprehensive assessment of all of our patient’s general wellbeing and lifestyle. This gives us a baseline to assess and work from. Then we begin to focus on providing a solution to the problem presented to us. This is often achieved through our Foot, Ankle and Lower Limb Assessment.

During this process, we also keep our values very close to our practice. We believe in conducting our business with…

  • Integrity and respect for your wishes.

  • Great responsibility to do our duty to the best of our ability.

  • High motivation to help you feel better.

  • A holistic approach - we take your physical and emotional state into account.

  • Education to future-proof feet.

  • Progressively keeping up to date with professional developments in the industry.

NO OTHER FOOT AND ANKLE SPECIALIST IN THE AREA OFFERS SUCH AN IN-DEPTH FOOT-ANKLE AND LOWER LIMB ASSESSMENT

Many problems in the lower limb, knee, hip, pelvis, and lower back are associated with the way our feet strike, contact, and leave the ground. Our comprehensive Foot and Ankle Assessment helps us to identify the cause of an injury or problem.

As foot and ankle experts, we often identify conditions and problems not picked up by other health professionals. The assessment focuses on the underlying structures of the foot, ankle and knee joints, pelvis, and lower back, and the relationship between them.

OUR FOOT ANKLE AND LOWER LIMB ASSESSMENTS INCLUDE:

  • Taking an in-depth history of the injury.

  • Full posture assessments.

CAROLINE ROBERTSON

"Don't go to a doctor, DON'T trust a surgeon, go to the St Leonards. Martin is simply brilliant. He knows the anatomy and physiology of the foot, leg, hip and everything else inside out. Unlike a surgeon, who will look at only "a foot issue" and want to chop you up, he looks at the body as a whole and the impact of one thing on another. I highly recommend this clinic if you are having any toe, foot or ankle problems"

LESLEY HIGHAM

"As a nurse it is important for me to look after my feet. Angie is brilliant, professional and is great at ensuring my feet are fit to do my job. So far I have visited 3 times and the improvement in my feet is fantastic. No more callous no more corns or hard skin I am walking on air thank you. I would recommend them."

JESS FAWCETT

"After a long period off running due to an issue with my toe, it was a real relief to visit Martin, who immediately analysed the problem, explained it in great detail and provided a solution! He spent loads of time with me and sent me away with a temporary solution, so I can get back running ASAP, whilst working on the longer term fixes. Highly recommend!"
